Adrian Fix is a doctoral student in the Film Studies department at King’s College, London. Under the supervision of Erika Balsom, he is working on his dissertation, which proposes a comparative study of the approaches of three European museums (Centre Pompidou in Paris, Tate Modern in London, and ZKM in Karlsruhe) to new media. His interests include the exhibition dynamics of moving images and new media, the challenges, roles, and responsibilities of the museum in the age of hypermodernity in a world in transition, and the reconfiguration of the museum itself as a social and cultural forum in this context.
